Soul Retrieval

Why would I want my soul retrieved and were did I leave it. Many of us have no idea why we feel the way we do we just know something doesn’t feel right, we just can’t identify the issue. Feelings of panic, depression, grief, and trauma can cause our soul to become fragmented, part of our soul gets shattered and dispersed. The pain gets repeated in our mind and becomes imprinted on our soul. Also our minds memory of the trauma is fragmented so much that we may not remember an incident quite the way it happened. Soul retrieval, a part of shamanic healing has been used in shamanism in many native cultures across the universe, back to the beginning of time. Shamanism really works and is one of the truest methods for soul retrieval.

The goal of soul retrieval is to integrate that part of your soul together with that which has been disconnected. Even if during a soul retrieval journey you don’t integrate you still will have the benefits of the healing trance state. Sometimes when we journey we don’t feel as if we received the desired goal or perhaps not an answer we wanted. If you look close enough you’ll see that something came out of that trance state. Journal everything!

Shamanism is very ritual based practice and welcomes you to join in to a very artisan ceremonial practice. The practice does require you to “heal” yourself, as above so below.

Here are a few things that can help your soul to feel connected now:


Get out in to nature, walk barefoot so that you truly feel the connection to Earth.


Journal all of your thoughts and dreams.


Accept and love yourself without hesitation.


Understand that healing takes time.


Practice breathing techniques Simply breathe in through your nose to the count of seven feeling that down to your toes, and breathe out through your mouth for the count of seven through your crown chakra.


Listen to shamanic music such as the drum, rattle or flute.


Learn how to honor the pain and let it go.


Lastly, never feel alone when you are in this continual “ dark night of soul” find someone that will help you integrate your soul fragments. Someone who is trained and certified in shamanism will help you to have a more fluid spiritual essence. If you find that despite any holistic methods you are still suffering a dissociative illness please seek professional help from a doctor. Sometimes the answer is a combination of treatment modalities.
